My everything is now nothing

by Kazue Tsubasa
Free from all the ominous clouds, the sky could be seen in the reflection in her eyes. It carries a beautiful mixture of black and crimson red, producing a scene like velvety red on black canvas.

On the leaves of the roses are a few drops of water droplets. Glittering in this dark night, it brightens up the bone-chilling cold atmosphere and the lonely night.

Taking another look at the sky, you'll see twinkling stars, adding a touch of perfection to the pitch-black canvas.

...It's beautiful isn't it? This lonely yet enchanting night.

With a small howl from the wind that covered her sigh, she stood up and started to walk away, as lonely as the sky would be.

--

Seasons slowly dies off one by one,

Like how my memories of you fade away one by one,

Seasons will return,

But will you?

--

Human die and reincarnate,

Flowers wilt and bloom again,

Everything has a same repeating cycle,

Only your love towards me changes and will never be the same again.

--

Wind howls like how they are supposed to,

Rain falls like how they are supposed to,

Sun shines like how they are supposed to,

But do you still love me like how you are supposed to?

--

Metals will grow rusty,

Words will fade away,

The world will one day vanish,

All that's left for me, is the forgotten promise you have given me.

--

Families will be lost,

Friends will be gone,

You used to say, "I won't."

But...what happened?

--

I am strong even by myself,

I can forget all about you,

I can live without you,

I'm sorry but I lied.

--

Come back,

Will you?

Don't leave me,

Can you?

......Please.

--

Dawn appeared. The clouds cleared and the bright orange sun rose.

Warm sunlight rays shone upon her pale face, piercing through the cold mist that surrounds her.

Bead of tears rolled down her cheeks, staining her plain white shirt that says, "All I need is love. And I have him now."

She was expressionless. She couldn't feel. She went numb. She couldn't see. Her eyes were dead. She couldn't go on anymore. Not with her heart broken.

Everything was gone,

Everything was meaningless,

She lost her everything,

Her everything is now nothing.

A heartbreaking, negative story. Cruel, but truly shows how the world is now. Selfish, despicable human beings.

I'm a nameless little flower, fragile and weak. I'm desperate to live and so, I will cling to anything, even if it's pain. I will abandon everything just to live. I don't want to die and be forgotten, but deep down I knew I was wiliting. Poem+Story
