Welcoming 2019

haha..witty! I believe every new year is just the window for new businesses to rake in some cash (new diaries, new calendars, party balloons) & for the party animals, a perfectly new excuse to host a party. A new year, to me is just like any other day. the idea of a "NEW YEAR RESOLUTION" is a hilarious idea (i think). I believe, if you want to kick off an old habit, or become a new you, you can do it any given day. People just like to exaggerate things on new year. But as the year progresses, their true self kicks in and voila...so conveniently blame a non-existing YEAR (as if it were a living breathing entity) for their shortcomings...funny isn't it?

My January 2 plus something serious

I don't know if it is an age old practise or its just something new, it seems like every single human feeling has some mental illness name related to it.."blablabla disorder" or "so-so-phobia". Somewhere in the back of my head i wonder if that is that could also be a reason for so many unhappy, depressed people?

I fell in love with reading stories when I was about 8 years old. At the time, I felt like I had magical powers because I could read every book in the house. My mother's university books used to be problematic since I didn't understand the advanced English in them. That did not discourage me though because I knew that all I had to do was pass the next grade, and my understanding would improve. My love for reading encouraged me to write my own stories which were mainly about animals, but in my teenage years I stopped writing. That's quite understandable because at that stage you deal with a lot; self identity, boys, fitting in with friends, girl drama, parents whom you think are too controlling, and by that time I thought I wanted to become a fashion designer. Regardless of that, I continued reading books. I was reminded of my passion when my grade 11 teacher gave me a diary for doing well in class. After that I just became obsessed with writing.

I'm dyslexic, but that's not gonna stop me from telling stories. Oh and please leave comments on my stories, or share it. Negative or positive, I'll read and try to reply to your comments. They build me up :D
