Thanks David. I never said that religion does not allow us to live in harmony with our soul. It does allow us to live in harmony and that is where religion gives us comfort. Example if I believe in God at the point of dying I will think that God will take care of my soul but an athiest will have no such comfort! But religion is also used by crooked power hungry men to further their own cause - that is the point I wanted to make.
