Full summary :

All he could do was stand in front of his town that was now painted red until he was cuffed and brought to White Hell. Getting thrown into a bottomless pit of despair, what can he do now? Will he be able to break out of this hell, or, will he discover the darkest secrets of this place that will break him?

Prologue

His legs gave up on him and he fell to his knees, with widened eyes, not willing to believe in this. It felt like time stopped, but the pain he felt all over and the blood flowing out of him told him that time never once slowed down or paused for neither him, nor anyone else in this world. Black dots danced in front of his vision, he stopped breathing and he wasn't sure if he wanted to start up again.

"B-But...You...!" Words failed to form, tears start to fall. "L-Last time I-I..." He had lost his ability to form coherent thoughts and hopelessness crept up to him as icy fear ripped through him.

He dragged in a deep breath to stop his lips from trembling any longer. He closed his eyes, not willing to accept the harsh and painful truth as tears once again soaked his face. "It wasn't supposed to be this way." Shock pierced through him again and again like waves crashing into the rocks. His voice grew meeker.

"...So...how did it change?" He muttered under his breath, as if questioning himself for not realizing it earlier. "Just why?" His voice was laced with desperation and anguish.

Unwillingness; doubt; refusal; a never ending loop.

He snapped his head up and stared right into her face that was hidden by the mask, attempting to look into her eyes – those eyes he loved so much. But to no avail, those eyes were hid away, locked away...He finally understood the fact that you don't need to be imprisoned to be restricted. She was locked away— in an invisible cage that he'll never break through.

She grinned and it sent the coldest shiver down his spine. He was sure; so sure that that very smile of hers will forever be etched in his memories, even if he chose to erase it. Like a scar, you may forget its existence for awhile; it may slowly heal little by little; but it will be stuck to you forever — reminding you unwanted memories; always and always.

He let out an ear deafening scream and fell to the ground in agony, his tears; never once stop cascading down his cheeks.

He was falling; falling into a bottomless pit of despair.

Why did destiny let them meet, knowing that they will never have a chance to be together?

He cursed the destiny, he cursed his fate, and above all, he cursed himself for being himself.

While still panting for air, he struggled to stand up with trembling legs and suppressed the tears that were threatening to fall. He pressed pressure to his wounded arm and stood tall on his feet.

"I-If this is how it is," Determination flared in his eyes. "I will...—"

The wind muffled his voice but she heard it loud and clear, because she was waiting for the very words that came out of his lips for years.

"That's what I wanted all along," And with a tiny smile no one realized was on her face, she said, "Now come."

In a matter of seconds, blood splattered around them, surrounding them like flowers. The blood danced gracefully, just like the glistening snow.

Red and white; their destiny are entwined once again. What will be the end of them? Red and white; the start and the end.
