“Okay none of this seem to make any sense at all. My dad happen to be one of the gods in Norse mythology. And he is the bad guy. If I’m the son of Loki then somebody out there is the son of Thor. Where are they?” I said to Odin aka my grandad. All the people in the restaurant showing us funny faces, probably what my grandad wore.
“I haven’t seen Thor in years. He left Asgard when his son was killed in a war between my Kingdom and with those frost giants in Jotunheim. Most of our Enheinjar soldiers died sacrificing themselves to protect Asgard. Your father had something to do with it.” He answered.
“But my dad is a nice guy! He never abandoned us!” I quacked.
“Loki is a sweet talker, master mind and a master of dark magic. Like me, he also lived a double life. I had no idea where is he now. Probably back in business with those ice bastards.” He paused for a moment and continue. “Do you have any idea that you have a sister? I mean step sister?”
“What? I have a sister? No. I never heard of her. You are saying my dad has another wife?” I asked curiously.
“Yes, his wife before marrying your mother.”
“What’s her name?”
“Samirah Al- Abbas.”
I was dumbstruck.
“That name doesn’t sound very viking-ish at all. She’s a Muslim?”
“Yes she is. And she’s a Valkyrie. One of the guardians in Hotel Valhalla. Like me, she’s also live a double life.”
“Where the hell is that?”
“It’s a place where all the dead goes, if you’re descendants of the Norse gods. There are judges, jureys and witnesses to sort you where you’ll be placed. I doubt your parents went there.”
“Where is this Samirah Al-Abbas now?”
“Oh she’s busy now accompanying a boy named Magnus Chase at Hotel Valhalla. The boy had just figured out that he’s dead and the son of God Frey. He’s an interesting one.” Our lunch arrived the moment Odin stopped talking.
“Grimm, have you ever traveled in a light portal?” Odin asked.
“No, why?”
“We’re going to Asgard after we finished this lunch.”
