She smells
Like vanilla
And the blistering skin of marshmallows
Roasting on a winter fire
She sweats
And it smells
Like the early dew of a rose petal
She smells
Of a smell you've never smelt before
For she sits alone
On her bus to home
*
She smiles
Gently
Like rain drops slithering from the drooping leaves
She smiles
Rarely
Like a hint of gold over bare trees
And she smiles barely
When she sits alone
On her bus to home
*
She sits
As put together
As an intertwined bough
She sits
Through a crowd
Of poking fingers
And a cloud
That you've summoned above her head
It rains upon her
With uncolored labels
For she is more than anything you'd ever know
And she sits alone
On her bus to home
*
Her skin
Is a field of snowy dandelions
Stretching across her body
Vastly
It slips and shapes
Into curves of curves
Flowy and soft
Full and creamy
Big and vast
Like an Everest, but untrekked
There's so much of her to love
She fits not
In tiny, bland leaves
So she dresses
In big vast trees
There's so much of her to love
*
Her cheeks
Are rosy scoops
Of vanilla ice cream
Sprinkled with freckles
Her eyes
Are pots of honey
With windy paths within, untravelled
Her hair
A torrent of flames
Dishevelled
Her fingertips
Strawberry pink
As her lips
And her lips
Plump cookies of sugar
Quiet and aloof
Guardians of words
That lie hidden
Under her tongue
And down her throat
*
You'll never know
How unprecedented she is
When you laugh
At the lovely folds of her body
And the lovely curls of her blazing hair
And you may not
Sit close
When she sits alone
On her bus to home
So you may not
Smell the vanilla on her neck
And you may not
Get to hold
Her snowy palm
And you may not
Unravel the beauty
In her unspoken words
And you may thrust
Unmelodious names to her face
But she's okay
And she knows
You and your bitter laugh
Are unobtrusive passersby
In a dark alley
And she's going to pass by
And never look back
She's too beautiful
To look back
