The star teary sea

by Manahill Naik
That night when the stars crashed up together in the sky
Down below, Crash! Crash! The sea was raging, the tides were high
The stars were bruised and crying
And as soon as their tears dropped down in the furious sea
The sea creatures underwater, Were on a tears-collecting spree

The tears were pure
The sea was brimming silver
They said, "the star teary sea was broken heart's cure"
And when I heard the good news
I was happy and amused
Off to the town where the star teary sea lived, I flew
Before that, I was broken hearted and refused
To all the breads and the stews

I was deep down in the dumps
Trying hard to gulp down the irked lumps
When I heard about the sea with the stars tears
A way to piece back my heart and diminish the fears
I never gave second thoughts and on the very same day I stood before the white waves
A misty cold stinged me and I felt the pinching of the haze

In a millisecond I was down on my knees
My hands cupped and dipped in the ice cold sea
The waves kissed my fingertips, wild, smooth and free
I raised the water up to my lips
It gushes through my throat and my heart immediately grips

Piece by piece, gluing together
The links grew strong, my heart in place now, tethered
Everything was healing as the white water touched the inside of my body
I couldn't have felt more better
My existence and heavy heartedness gone
And my mood as light as a feather

Cups after cups, I drank and drank
The usual seas were salty but with the star's tears inside, bland
I never believed that something could ever fix my heart
Because when I was in love and made a fool
With a broken heart, a new depressing life, it was surely a bad start
And I wanted to end life, longed to die
But when I drank the star teary sea's water, I felt like flying

All those moanings and crying
Were pointless like the flow of the vast silver sea
But in the same enchanted sea, I found the new me
Time was running a marathon
And between those days the strange sea became the mere broken heart's cure
The star teary sea gained a lot of popularity
And the world became a happy place
No fears, no worries, no tear stained face
And nobody had a broken heart and even if they did
Drank all they wanted from the sea and quickly got it rid

But now there came the ailing of the star teary sea
When all the people drank all the water for free
And all that was left was a thin little stream
The one that used to be a big big sea
Ring! Ring! Ring! *snooze* Alarm clock
Oh god! It was all a beautiful dream
And here I still had a broken heart, tear stained face
Driving me crazy
And my mind it made numb and hazy
And made me imagine things so incredible and impossible
But the reality was, I was still as much troubled

Sorry for wasting your time and conjuring impossible tales
Just wish me luck for my heart that went stale
I've tried fixing it but everytime fails
O lord! Find me a star teary sea
I long to start a new life
And to find a new me
