The Tree's pet

A cat strolls alone in the meadow. Then it founds a tree and sits under it's shade. It fell asleep under it. From that moment, it started to love hanging with the tree.
One day, the cat suffered with major injuries caused by the other cats. It pants and breaths deeply and harshly with pain. He ate a plant next to the tree before getting to rest. Hoping for it to throw up the bacteria inside.
The day after that,he wakes up with less injuries and could breathe find enough. Didn't notice the plant it ate was actually a herb growing near the tree.
Few weeks later, after eating a meal under the tree, the cat cleans itself before getting to sleep. The injuries have faded long ago. It slept in peace.
Until, a storm comes to visit. The cat woke up from the sound of exploding thunder. The dirt suddenly feels hot. When the sky is blue again. The cat stood and leans itself to the tree. Meowing and crying towards it. Knowing that the tree died from the lightning.

Few months later, a new seed began to grow near the tree. The cat waited until the end of it's age for the seed to grow bigger.
