The Sound of Christmas: A Contrasting Feature

by DavidBokolo
The streets are filled up with the people
moving in and moving out with their bags
and luggage; mothers tugging their young ones
along the street, adorned in their Sunday best

The bus stations are filled with the travelers;
and the buses are filled with grim looking people
The cars are weighed down under the burden of the
Loads; Xmas bounties for the country folks

The highways are crawling with vehicles;
a tasking job for the traffic wardens
They are all going and coming; but where
and for what purpose, none can tell

The shops are filled with wares, pleading for a buy
The markets are bustling, almost breaking at the seam
Everyone is buying and everyone is selling
The city is filled with the sound of movement

The churches are filled with programs and
activities, spreading the meaning of the season
Non-adherence to any religious affiliation is not a shield
against this sucking frenzy of the season

There is a silent speed spreading over the city
bearing in its wake an emotional propulsion
drive in the city and the people to its feelings;
This is the season: this is the sound of Christmas
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
