The Haunted !!!

A scary night in the end of October....a Halloween eve...
Kate and Ana was on the way back to their homefrom a night party.
The wind was blowing hard and the air seemed like waiting for a heavy rain...
Kate suddenly pushed the brake and the car stopped. The road in front diverted into two ways. One was the Avenue road through the city and the other, The Blue Cross Road, notorius for being haunted by the spirits who died there. At times ,and that too when you are drunk, you have special sense of guts.
"Here we come...The Blue Cross Road....Woohooo" Kate screamed and geared the car.
"Kate, should we?? This road is infamous for paranormal activity and I have heard many poeple have witnessed white humanoid creature walking along the road" said Ana with a tense in her voice.

"C'mon girl !! Do you believe all these? Do you think dead poeple wander around or there really is something like ghost? Just utter superstitions !!" said KAte sarcastically

Ana laughed and they speeded to the Blue cross road. In the midst of roar and laughter, they missed the red warning board set by the side of the road. It read :
"Warning : Avoid this Road at night due to Security Reasons. Please dont ignore and get into inexplicable accidents".

The road was very scary and it had already started to rain. As they went in through the woods, the rain hardened and thunder lightnening stuck the car window shield. Ana increased the music volume. She had always loved the One-Direction songs. She rythmed with the "What makes you beautiful.." song. Kate was speeding over 100kmph. Suddenly the car bumped hard and stopped.

"Ouch guess we hit something"

Ana slid down the window. Rain rushed inside throught the window.

"Kate, that is a pit. The front left wheel is stuck in it".

"Gosh I dint see it in the rain." said Kate and she started the car. The wheel was moving back and forth in the pit.

"Ana, you wait here. I will go out and check the condition."

Kate went out. The pit was big enough. "Ana, we need to fill the pit with something to make a slope. No other way " said Kate and she looked around.It was rainig very heavy that she could bearly see anything. They started filling the pit with pebbles and mud from roadside. Suddenly they a heard a bumping noise from the back. Terrified, they went back to see what is happening. Nothing was there.

"Kate, I am scared. We shouldnt have done this." Ana was scared and tears were dripping her eyes.

"Ana, will you stop it. A car getting break down or stuck in a pit is quite a natural thing. There is nothing paranormal in it. Just shut up and help me out to fill this. We need to make it fast."

Ana went to the door to get her phone. As she opened the door, something hit hard at her head. She screamed loud and fell on the ground. Kate came rushing. She was terrified to see Ana covered in blood and breathing hard. Kate kneeled down and then something hit her head. The last thing Kate saw was blood, rain and a creepy laughter.

Time passed.

Kate opened her eyes. It was still night. She was wet and there was mud all over her body. She slowly got up. Ana was lying next to her. She shook Ana. Ana opened her eyes.

"Come , lets go." said Kate.

"But, Wha... What happened....Some..Something hit my head...there was blood..". Ana touched her head.She was fine. Nothing was paining her.

They got inside the car and started. The car speeded forward.

"Ahhh... the pit... but how ?? !!" Ana was shocked.

They reached their home in half an hour. All tired with a horrifying drive, they opened the door and went inside and fell on to the sofa.

The morning daylight touched Ana's face. She woke up with a smile. A faded memory of yesterdays night brought a fear in her mind. She reached for her phone. It was not beside her. She searched everywhere.

"Oh damn it. I might have left it yesterday there at Blue Cross !!!"

"Kate, come on , wake up. We need to go back there. I missed my phone there."

Murmuring something Kate woke up. Washed her face.

"Ana, we will go in sometime. I am just tired."

"No, I need it now. If you are not coming, leave it, i will manage it myself." said Ana and she went to the car. Kate followed her.The road was lonely. Some people were here and there, but nobody seemed to notice them. They headed to the Blue Cross. As they reached, they saw a huge mob gathered there. Police vans were there. And an ambulance was arriving. Ana stopped the car and went out to see what happened. Kate followed her. Ana asked a guy standing there about what had happened. The guy did not even seem to notice her, neither paid an attension. He was just expressionless as if nobody was there.

Ana and Kate went to the front. They were shocked to see their own dead bodies lying on the road beside their car. Confused, Ana looked around. She heard a man beside talking to somebody else.

"What has actually happened"
"The corps still have no idea. Just two girls. Their ID cards in car read Ana Stewart and Kate Joe. It was heavy rain during night. Looks like some attack. The bodies were all mud and water and blood all around...washed away. Primary report says, death took place around 5-6 hours before."

Startled, Ana and Kate stared at each other.
