"The Disconnect"

by DavidBokolo
“The Disconnect”

What would I do?
How would I do what I have to do?

Jumbling thoughts of a warped mind.
Thus have events shaped the psychic
of a populace seized by the unfolding
catastrophic whirlpool upon which
Our nation’s being plunged into.

My pen cracked and ink ran dry,
scribbling and shouting about the
looming social upheaval that dare
a people accustomed to the fundamental
liberty of their social lives.

That we are at the precipice of
phenomenal economic catastrophe.
These were perceived as croaking of
wailing Wailers of the century by
apologists of the current order.

Whose actions and inactions;
and disregard of norms, has left
men stunned in disbelief, and
there’s palpable deafening quietness
in the land, that had left all aghast.

In the prism of my thoughts,
I retrained myself within a limit
beyond which will be emotional
collapse of my attempt to rational reasoning.
So I asked how I would do, what I have to do.

“Disconnect! Disconnect!!” Shouted
a tiny voice in my Consciousness.
Could I blind my sight and gag the tongue
when the land is being trampled upon
by a dysfunctional order in disguise?
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
