Tear Drops

by DavidBokolo

It came like a giant snowball from outer space

traveling through time in space over the galaxies

and the elements, pushing asunder by  its sheer

force, all the particles and dust in space with the

force of a rocket and landed on the white sheet of

paper in my hand

It was a tear drop breaking forth from its stockade

of eyelashes to bath the letter in my hand

My hands shook from the sheer weight

of not the tear drop but the words, and this

is what they say, “The clouds have lifted and

the sun is high on the horizon, reflecting and

glittering on the gold: that you are.”

Thus the tear drop came, breaking forth from its stockade

of eyelashes to bath the letter in my hand.
