Spring Of Living water

by DavidBokolo
In the meadows of a vast grassland
under the scourging sun, he sat, on a
broken log; a seeming wayfarer from
a distant land
garbed in a dusty robe and a shepherd’s rod

Glittering darkly from a shadowed cast
stood the pool of water from ages past;
for they that live by its content
knew not whence to be content

Flaunting about in a royal apparel
a jar sat upon a corky head, came a damsel
for to draw up water from the pool;
the pool that was from the ages past

“Give me to drink,” the robed man pleaded
For a wayfarer doth she looked upon him
and an adversary race doth she considered him
Oh! She’d have lost a pool of living water

Yet the dark secret of life in ages past
were before him as a noon day’s cast
Then she beheld in him the glory that’s ever known;
of power and wisdom and honor ever shown

Comely and without form was his appearing
Yet he shook the foundation of the earth eternally
For in vain they did work to shut his ministering
Yet , like the living water, he flows continually
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

November 11, 2016 - 12:34 Hi, Sharmishtha, I was just meditating on the bible story told in John 4:1-15. I look at the seating of the story and expressed the way it was presented to me. Thank S.

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
