only the reaper knows when

(this is a very short story about a man died trying to commit suicide)
i'm not sure whats his name but i'll call him Max.
He stands at the tip of a cliff. rope tied around his neck ready to jump off. He put a whole of lethal pills in his mouth. plus aiming a handgun to his head. his whole body trembling with fear.
He jumps off the cliff, pulling the trigger,swallowed the pills. but the gun missed his head and shot the rope and snapped. He fell from the cliff without his head hanged. He then fell into a lake and survived. he got out of the water with his head felt dizzy and nausea. He then threw up the pills. he heard the ambulance and fainted to the ground.
when he woke up in the ambulance, he felt.disappointed about missing the gun's aim.
so he didn't turned out dying with hanging,ammo to the head and swallowing killing pills,
instead,
he died freezing in the ambulance.
