OH! WHAT A YEAR, 2015

OH! WHAT YEAR, 2015

We stepped into the year 2015 with high expectation and uncertainty,
Not knowing how we will navigate the treacherous course of life through the year.
We have our plans and goals set with hope and expectations.
We have nothing to dare the locomotive motion of the earth on its slow match around the sun.
And so we count the days from January 1st to the 365 day mark of the year.
Each day bears on its wings distrustful challenges of the eternal struggle of life.

And so in full throttle it has completed another voyage round the sun.
I could see the stars of men lightening up and turning out in the space of the year.
But to the stars that are still burning at the close of the year,
It is another added age of life.
Though we may try in all earnest, we cannot tilt the earth or time to our favour;
for what will be will be.

Events were set and closed, bearing in their wake the sadness and joy of life.
For none could know what lies beyond the second we live,
except he that sits on the throne of life, who knows it all.
How well do you know Him? How much do you rely on Him?
How much of your life have you given to Him?
I looked through the cloudy pillars of the earth at Him.

I see Him, like a master Pilot of the Albatross war plane,
He has the control of the world firmly in His hand,
His face looking dead ahead, seeing all things,
And with the certainty of a master craftsman,
He has borne me through to the end of the year.

I may not know what tomorrow may bring.
I may not be in control of my desires to achieve,
And my expectation to fulfill, but I know now who hold my hands,
and I know who holds my future.
Thus, I rest upon Him as He bears me through yet another year
in life fitful voyage.
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

December 4, 2015 - 10:02 David I wrote a comment of about 100 words, and pressed something wrong. It all disappeared. But you did inspire me to write a poem about it. Thank you for that, and thank you for taking the time to read and appreciate my work..

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
