Love destined to Heaven

by Akanksha Chowdhury
Apprehensions and doubts
Enclosed within uncertainties unlimited,
Locked away in the prison of impressions
Gripped in the societal barricade;

‘Truthfulness’ and ‘Us’
Complement each other’s existence,
We laugh, we tease, and we kid
Abhorring every speck of pretense;

We love (though it has never been enough
To share a life with each other)
We believe (though it is not possible)
To walk down the aisle together;

We strive to live together
Yet with a future unknown,
Uncertain amidst ambiguities
Yet with a heart overthrown;

And from that uncertainty
We still feel certain about each other,
Making love come alive every moment
Letting all of it happen together;

Surely there will be a time in a place where
We’ll love each other infinite, unrestrained,
Protected by Cupid’s arrows, Secured by Eros’ wings
Eased of every stress and pain;

And I know Heaven has a place for us
Beautifully decorated with petals of red,
Gifted with solitude, sprinkled with solace
Romance expressing every word unsaid;

Our hearts might not be wed locked
We might not be engaged in the long run,
All we wish, yet, is to feel the love to the fullest
And let our hearts beat as one!
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

The Moon has always fascinated me. Every night, in spite of the chill, I venture through the tranquil dark and take delight under the beautiful Moon which itself has always provided me with solace. This is a dedication in return of the joy granted!

Homesick!

In this world full of violence, hatred, hypocrisy, hunger - both for food and for power, discrimination, I always look forward to my "home", the only place I find love and peace. But the question is can we not make the entire world our "home"?

Marvelling at the beauty when I was a child. I am ever thankful to mummy and papa for making ME happen. That it will never come back makes it so beautiful.....
