The Winds Of Change

by Akanksha Chowdhury
The bangs of doors and windows
Detached me from my reverie,
I came out to catch on to
The Grandeur of Nature calling me out to see,
The sway of the leaves to the left
And then to the right like a dance,
To the soft melody of the rustle
Taking all to a mystical trance;
It was all so windy and wild
Blowing my tresses all free,
Easing stress and sorrows
Dancing with elegance in spree;
Then broke out a mild rage
A thunder cleaving the clouds apart
Beating the heat that had been ragging
Threatening the Sun, I watched the Wind thwart;
Brought with it an enchanting fragrance
Fragrance of the soil, moistened fresh with the first Rain
Fragrance of peace, the message of love
Fragrance of joy washing away the wounds of pain;
The clouds kept cleaving and as I raised my face
With fukl fervour the Rain kissed my cheek,
I embraced the first shower, behind the rhythn
The Winds if Change defeated the Summer heat!
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Homesick!
by Akanksha Chowdhury

In this world full of violence, hatred, hypocrisy, hunger - both for food and for power, discrimination, I always look forward to my "home", the only place I find love and peace. But the question is can we not make the entire world our "home"?

Being in love has never been enough. Love caters to several wider networks too, like the societal acceptance. Yet love rises above from all such problems to make its place in the Heaven........no wonder why it is so beautiful!
