LOUNDAH; HER LOST AND FOUND LOVE

by DavidBokolo
LOUNDAH: HER LOST AND FOUND LOVE

One forlorn dark night.

Lay I staring at the starry sky

Dazzling and twinkling were a million stars

They are lifeless but living lights

And beauty they were to me that night.

“Swiftly, darted off one bright Star

“Where goes thou, Oh! Bright and beautiful star.”

As it fades off millions of miles away.

Heavenly hosts have lost one of theirs.

Can you fathom the mystery of the stars?

Sinking into my melancholy, lost in reverie.

Brought me answer to the mystery of the stars;

I could feel, though not see him presently;

Bright and handsome was the one I loved.

There he was in the arms of the one he loved.

And yet she was my friend.

Treacherous it would be to express my love to him.

Oh! What secret we inhabit within our hearts.

Wishing I could take him from her.

Pain and misery, so the years roll by.

Fortune and fate brought him my way.

His presence; warm and tender.

His voice; deep and soothing.

Balm it was to my weary Soul

His embrace and kiss I'd desired this long.

Then like the shooting star that fades away,

He had faded away, and the way I knew not.

How I wished him by my side.

Day after day; Year after year.

And in vain I sought after him over the years.

For they say ‘what goes around, comes around.’

But why have you not come around,

These many years, my love.

Marooned in this emptiness of life,

I passed my years sojourning on earth.

In the stillness of one solemn night.

I heard His name sang in Celestial hymn,

His name was not the name of my love.

His name is the name of my Lord.

In melodious rhythm, redeemed He, my Soul.

Floating in the air so encompassing,

Is the comfort and love that I lost.

Echoing in stillness, reverberating in omnipotence.

He was the lone love of His Father.

Offered Him a ransom the world to redeem.

Once I embraced His love.

Took He away, my sorrow and misery.

What I lost He recovered.

He is not my love I lost.

But He is four-fold the love I lost.

Sweet omnipotence

How sweet the name sounds

To my ears, it is a sound of joy;

To my soul, you are an assuring comfort.

Your presence is all over the universe.
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
