Gravity of Love

She is frustrated by a loveless relationship. Many times she reflects on the years as a child, she has fallen into ditches, pits, and on the floor, but not falling in love. “Someday, if you fall in love, you will feel the beauty of your gravity against it. It is a fall that you will never forget!” her mother always assured her.
True to her mother’s words, she fell in love many years later. The gravity of love was so strong and beautiful, such that she was afraid of losing it. As an astronaut, she loved space with a passion; a passion that always haunted her with the question of whether she loved her husband or space more. Deep in her heart, she wasn’t ready to give up any one of the two choices.
Three years later, she is single. Hurts that ate up her happiness were so hard for her to bear. Marriage to a man she loved, a poet, had turned out to be a sham. Verses, rhymes, and romance, became as dead as a dodo.
Space is her lover now. Floating around her space room, she convinced that the weak gravity has made love to drift away from her. She doesn’t want to be hurt any more.
