Things that happen only in Soaps

by Teddy Kimathi
Men are millionaires, and never get out of their houses to go and work. They just hang around their houses, all groomed in dark or white
suits.

Vile men always have large eyebrows and hairy chests.

A man is in love with two or more ladies, and yet they live in the same house. Most of the times, none of the girls know that they are in love with the same man.

A girl might get a child, without knowing who the father is. DNA sampling cannot help in search of a father, because he might be somewhere in Africa doing humanitarian things.

There will always be something to make a girl or lady to cry. Tissues and handkerchiefs are one of the must-haves in their handbags.

Stepmoms are always mean, with tiny lips, wrinkled skins, and thin eyebrows. Argument is their specialty. They argue about anything they find wrong, except themselves.

Time moves really fast. Today a child is three months old. Three weeks later, he’s twelve years old. Soaps are notorious for time-lapse.

It is very hard to kill a bad character in soap. They have seen all – black magic, gun-shots, law suits, everything.

Briefcases contain two things only – a gun and business documents. A gun comes in handy if the aggressor or victim refuses to sign a contract.

Children do not resemble their parents in looks.

In laws are always at war with each other. Sometimes it’s too bad that one or two people die in either of the two families. The killers are stealth during the procession of funeral services.

A person’s funeral service can be held, yet he or she is alive and kicking in a remote island. Family members believe it’s a miracle when they see their person back home.

Housewives sleep with their makeup on.

Men who manage fashion industries carry briefcases around with them, even during attendance of fashion shows.

Love can make men do crazy things. Never trust a man carrying a briefcase around with him. He’ll open it if he realizes that his wife is having an affair with his business rival or a man he had forgotten to kill some years back.

It is fashionable for a lady to smoke a cigarette as she takes coffee on a Wednesday evening with her friends. There is a baby cot very close to her.

Falling in love is taken more seriously than paying bills. A man sweeps a lovely blonde off her carpet, and buys her jewelry that his decade-long house rent couldn’t do. He needs a briefcase to keep her close to him always.

People live happily ever after, when evil people die. No funeral service is held for them. People just forget, and enjoy their lives.
