Don't take away the Light

by DavidBokolo
DON’T TAKE OUR LIGHT AWAY

Soft and tender, flurry and weightless
thus the Omnipotent the light made
Bestowed he upon it a power so strong
It melts the darkened pillars of the universe

It illuminates the parts for us to see
And brightens the dark aura upon our soul
And dissolves the gloom out of our life
Thus, doth the Omnipotent gave the light

With his words doth He command the light to be
Therein lies the power of light; a force from the Alpha
Light thus become the life of man; A peculiar being on
Universe plane; authority over the elements of creation

That we might see the deeds done in the dark
For the evil deeds is prevalence of the night
When darkness assails the windows of men
But dawn bears in the light, flooding men with hope

Thus did our lands floods with a breath of fresh light
And the shores of this nation had brightened hope
Also, the pariah cloak of the land was un-foiled;
The darkened corridors of the land were brightened

But by the machination of treacherous mortals
The light was blasphemed in a darkened color by
Pretentious and deceptive grand plot that was hatched
In the ensuing melee; a return to the dark was foisted on the land

We’re cast into a state of rudderless ship in a misty sea
Groping and floundering in a dark hazy prism
Our part obscured in an uncertain gloom
While our Captain is trotting about in an imperial stupor

Like one hallucinating; they’re imagining the past light
Simmering hazily as a fleeting nightmare
Thus, we’re entangled at the present, in the past
Unable to decipher our route through this maze

Unmindful of the people wailing drearily in the land
They keep on riding on their shoddy high horses
Tramping about in a whirlpool with disdain and arrogance
But with my pen, I’ll shout, “Don’t take our lights away!”
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
