Below the Elevator

At SMK Putrajaya Presint 8(1), high school,in Malaysia, a rumor had been around for a. In 3 Cyber Class, miss Norizah is sick and couldn't teach them for the day. A group of girls surround in a circle. one of them says,

"Have you heard about the elevator on the G ground floor? says that few years ago there was a girl found out the elevator came from below it. I heard it's from the other world" Her friends starts to babble and ask questions about the girl who found out about it. said that it happened before a few times. says that they came by the cause of their unfinished business.

Maria sat on a her desk. pretending she didn't hear what they said. Stopped writing her essay writing but keep on hold tightly on her pen. Reminds her of Isaac.He died the on the day when they fought a week ago. A car accident. He scolded her for cheating on him and for still being dishonest while on their fight. But yes. Maria was stubborn and still tried to hide the consequences.

"FINE! You don't LOVE me anymore!!"

"I'll will always love you if you speak the truth! because that is what important in every relationship. I knew where and when you dated Hazriee, Maria!"

But in the end he gave up on her telling the truth. He steps back on the zebra crossing. on his way home not looking back at her who kept shouting on him. Blaming him for everything. Then a car suddenly speed up and crashed on him.

Maria hold her tears. Gripping the pen tighter.

When school is over, coincidentally she walks by the elevator which the one her classmates talked about earlier. Was the rumor true? Maria somehow hoped it would happen to her. Isaac.. She accidentally waited for a minutes in front of it.She snaps herself and just get away with it. grips her straps and walk away. a few steps later she stopped after hearing the elevator rings .Turns her head to it. heart pumps fast. It came from below! she almost forgot to breath..

"Isaac?.."

He comes out of it. walks towards her. Maria steps back and tripped. "you have an unfinished business?"

Isaac sits in front of her. "isn't it obvious?" "are you happy now that i can't go nowhere unless if i finish my business?"

Maria's tears drips. "OKAY! i admit! I did cheated on you with Hazriee!" Isaac hold on her cheeks.

"there is still one word you have to say to help set me free"

"what?..please do not leave me.. I regret what I did. I Iove-" Isaac covers her mouth.

"Hey, I love you too. you don't have to explain. I'm dead anyways. but..just one word you should say to set me free" Maria heard a giggle in the middle of her sentence. Shes confused. what word?

"I love you?"

"You've said that"

"I cheated?"

"nope." Isaac shakes his head."okay i'll give you a clue. What should a boy do after hurting his mother's feelings?"

"Sorry?"

"yep! now my work is done. I'm free.. thank you my dear. I will love you till the end. well- till yours of course. hahah!" He kissed her on the cheek. Even though they couldn't touch each other, but Isaac feels the heat of his sweet lover. It made Maria even sadder. when he walks into the elevator. He stops the lift's door for closing. He is not seeing her last face like this.

"Hey sweetheart, do you wanna know what is my most favorite food?

Maria wiped her tears and hold her sobs."what?' she simpers.

"YO BUNS!" he hold his hands up with excitement.Maria laughed and come close towards him."Be free,Isaac"

"I will wait for you.."The elevator closes between them and separated their way. Down where Isaac go.Maria gave the sweetest last smile Isaac has ever get.
