A RAPPEL SO SLIPPERY YET I CLING ON

A RAPPEL SO SLIPPERY YET I CLING ON

In a thoroughfare, wide but physically obscured
Blazed the trail of Saints in Seraphic drill
Heralding mankind a way to their celestial home
Where the Captain of Heavenly glory abides in
Heavenly splendour, beckoning all to attend

Have you heard the News told in ages past?
News so refreshing in every fresh day meets
Have you heard the call made in ages past?
Call so refreshing being echoed as the ages meet
So heed the invitation made in ransomed blood

I heard it long ago; shrill but strident sound
Meaningless it was then; but now so worthy
It tells of joy in glorious splendour in Heaven
Where the Captain stands in celestial glory
To herald the Victors home in saintly embrace

I am walking to Heaven; the King of kings to meet
On a thoroughfare amid the liters of earthly debris
Debris of worldly pleasures and earthly glory
Caused thus the way so cloudy and hazy;
Slippery and treacherous liters the way for the Pilgrim

Thus I walk toward Heaven amid the earthly debris
They are almost obliterating my vision of the mark set
Like a sole survivor on an infernal battle field
A midst the liters of broken bones and ruined arsenal
I trudge and stagger along amid liters of earthly debris

The shrill call I had heard, fastened on me like a rappel
Linking me to His Divine presence, nourishing me in Truth
It is the umbilical cord that nourishes the fetus from the mother
So is the spiritual link immune me from the earthly bacteria
A rappel so slippery yet firm; I cling and walk to Heaven.

Too much love of the cat, they say, kills the moth. Most love relationship got broken as a result of wrongly managed petty frail nerves. Like as I love to say, just musing.
