Wild Horses

by Libretos121
The Prince, Richard Llyod VI, loved his dove-eyed future bride. She had long flowy hair and porcelain skin. Mark had seen her pass by as he clean the stables. No one ofcourse noticed him. If anybody ever looked at him they did not see him. No, they saw a servant holding a shovel, scooping horse feces. He always smelled like maneur for this reason. He lived with the horses. The hay kept him warm. His father had died. He was sent to war by the King when he was a small child. His mother had died in childbirth. Yet, he was thankful to the King for taking him in. The Kings Son, Richard Llyod VI, enjoyed riding horses. Mark could not ride them, atleast not infront of royalty. And as strange as it sounded Mark loved Richard Llyod VI like family. Yes, eventhough the Prince treated him like a servant, for that was all he was. Mark would pray for them at night and would ask that he would be sent a wife. He was not as greedy as the prince because he asked for an ugly one! He was just tired of feeling alone. However, one day he heard the Prince talking with his friends. The prince said the reason he was getting married was because he had found the most beautiful woman in the world and they laughed. Mark realized that the Prince was vain. So, he decided to teach him a lesson. He prepared a horse and had arranged the fall from the horse unto bushes of thorns. He thought his face would be scrapped permanently. He waited patiently for the Prince to ride. But not only was the prince on the horse, so was the princess. The horse threw both unto the bushes. They were both scared greatly on their face. The Prince was horrified. They believed it to be an acciddent. And Mark said nothing. He was glad that the Prince had his vanity scarred. He wanted him to know what it felt to be a nobody. But he did not learn his lesson for he was too rich and vain. Prince Richard Llyod VI cancelled his wedding. He could not dare to look at such an ugly face. The Princess cried as she was abandoned. The Prince and King went home and feasted. Mark stole 2 horses and ran away with the woman to another country. They got Married and he was finally was content.
