Volunteering for great causes

by MinPerring90
Julia Wells, had just come back from visiting her friends Becky`s house just a little less than an hour ago. Julia and Becky Davies, had been friends; ever since they were both in high school together. They soon became friends through attending an after school badminton club. Julia had recently finished studying at the Mere side local college. After having done a two year administration and business course. After finishing the course in late June she decided to do some part time charity shop volunteering. From having spent the following afternoon briefly browsing through the small book of yellow pages stored on their hallways furniture cabinet. And without having a moments hesitation, she found and quickly rang her local British Red Cross charity shop. To enquire to the shop manageress about part time volunteering during the week. And she said that the shop was getting really short of volunteers. So she straightaway offered to collect a volunteering application form to fill in at home and hand to the shop manageress the next morning.

So the next morning she briefly strolled down to the nearest local British Red Cross at around ten thirty in the morning. The shop manageress greeted Julia Wells warmly and introduced her to the other volunteers working there currently. Julia`s parents, during occasional weekends, would still take the opportunity to give in gift aided donation bags to the British Red Cross shop. They would donate still decent looking clothes, old books which were no longer read and also occasional gold jewellery. Julia Wells seriously thought that the British Red Cross shop in Hartford, her local town, had one of the most highly artistic window display.

The shop manageress soon after gave her a brief tour around the shop. Julia Wells ended up spending the first afternoon working at the British Red Cross shop at the back room of the shop sorting out the donated shoes. Into pairs. She did not mind though. It was only her first afternoon volunteering at the British Red Cross shop. It pretty much reminded Julia Wells of her own large shoe collection at her home. So many colours and styles arranged tidily on the wooden shelves in the stock room. That very first afternoon for Julia Wells just flew by for her so quickly. And before she knew it was time to leave and walk home. Julia absolutely knew she would be volunteering here for a really long time to come. Most likely.
