The Lonely Girl

It was a cold night and she was all wrapped up in blanket as it clicked '12' on the clock.Her fears, insecurities and worries were reflecting in the mirror which she is friendly with since 10 years .Yes! the mirror was her friend for the long 10 years. Glenn was 3 year old when her mother died and having brought up by a step - father changed her into a loner. Her father was fair to her but she never could find the warmth and affection in him. She was only four when she started conversing with the mirror. Glenn was lovely with grey -green eyes and blonde hair. But why she asked the mirror about her looks. There was a mystery behind it !It was nothing but she found her mother's image in the mirror every time she glared at it. "I need to ask my mother about this cold windy night", "what is the fear surrounding me".Glenn jumped out of bed and moved to the mirror and she glared at it and murmured"Mother i need you,when will i find you"? It sound alarming but she could hear her mother speak for the first time."Glenn ,you will find me in the garden opposite to our house", " Come there daughter " I am waiting for you"!She did not think twice but barged open the door and rushed to the garden."Oh ! mother ,where are you"? As she crossed the road ,Glenn fumbled upon the road and all she could feel was the loud noise from her head. Suddenly she opened her eyes to find herself in bed with a woman."Mother .Is that you" ?.She was amazed to find that she was with a woman whom she never knew. "I need to go" shouted Glenn.The middle aged woman run her fingers through Glenn's hair and gave her some warm milk..Glenn felt the touch of Emma's fingers and all she can remember was the time when she was pampered by her mother in her young age..She hugged Emma and got a sense of love from her which she missed all the years.From then onwards Emma had been her guardian and fairy mother..And as she entered the age of 15 she was a heiress to the large mansion and humongous wealth of Emma Richards.
