Funny Scary encounter

This story is of Era and Aara two sisters who went to their cousin Sofi's house for summer vacations..

In late evening, sitting across the Living room Era asked, "Is it time?" Sofi said, "Jjjjj uuuust 5 minutes to go"

Era was getting anxious, Sofi too was getting scary feeling every passing minute.. Aara said 4 mins to go.. 3 mins left.. 2... only 1 mins to start.. All the three looking at each other smiling.. but down in the stomach butterflies continue to flutter.. heart beats increasing with every second now

All three sitting in living room in front of TV waiting for the show to begin...

It was none other than Zee Horror Show.. The first of its kind at that time..

Era and Sofi used to get scared a lot.. They both were sitting on the floor with a cushion in hand.. Actually not in hand.. right on their face.. It was not a cushion but a shield between them and the Horror show..

Aara was the youngest who never used to get scared and was brave enough to watch this show without fluttering her eye lashes even once... said, "keep the cushion away, there is still time for the ghost to come"..

"Shut up", said Sofi

As the show started, there came its background music which was.... yes really scaaaaaaaaaaaaary...

Aaa...Aaa.

Aaa...Aaa.

Aa.. Aa..Aa.. Aa..

Aa.. Aa..Aa.. Aa..

Aa.. Aa..Aa.. Aa..

Did she come?.. Did she come?? Asked Era...

Aara said, "Not yet".

Both Sofi and Era peeped through the side of cusion...

As the face of ghost appeared... there was a screem from Era.. don't look Sofi.. don't..

Sofi asked, "Is that face there??" Is she gone??? Tell Aara.. tell fast..

Aara replied amusingly.. "Yes gone, you can look now"

Era and Sofi peeped from the side of the cushion and got really scared.. "Its still there!!!! Aara I will kill you now... Why did you lie???", Sofi said

Aara laughed

This went on and on.. till half an hour..

Then it was time to go to bed..

Era and Sofi scared as hell as the lights went out. Each hugged a pillow and bury themselves under sheet completely.

Aara was amused at this and said good night to them.

While all others were asleep. Aara woke up as she wanted to go to the washroom. After coming back she lie down, put the sheet on herself and closed her eyes to sleep.

As she was trying to get sleep, she heard something.. a sound coming at equal intervals.. First she though may be the sound is of water leaking out of the tap. Maybe she dint close the tap properly. But she dint get up to check as she was getting scared of this sound... The sound was like ... thak... thak.. thak.. thak.. around 14 times.. then stop.. again thak..thak.. another 14.. 15 times.. then stop..

She felt as if some one is approaching the room where they all were sleeping.. It seemed like sound is getting nearer and nearer..

Aara scared as hell.. buried her head under the sheet and held to aunty (Sofi's mother) sleeping next to her tightly and went to sleep..

In the morning Aara informed about this episode to Aunty.. Aunty laughed...Aunty said, "what you heared last night was sound of the bamboo stick that watch man uses in the night. He bangs the stick on the ground with every step that he takes all night...To scare any thiefs off the building.."

Aara was embarrassed.. While Era and Sofi had the heartiest laugh..
