From Life's Complications

by Surinam27

To be born in India has indeed some virtues.   Most people here have a lot of struggles emotionally and mentally, but they finally reach a point where everything settles down, everything becomes clear.    In the West, they are different and so they also have to come to India to seek spiritual wisdom and mental peace-they already are coming.

Nanu's problems was that he found inspiration from the West and tried to emulate their individual freedom and freedom of expression of all kind.    His thoughts and attitudes were totally different from the restricted mindset of the people of Kerala, the state in which he was born.   So, many elderly ladies cursed him, praying that he should not get any improvement in his life.

One of the basic evils that grips human's soul gripped him also.    He developed a craving for the male-female reunion.   A kind of ambivalence came to his mind making him unable to lead a good social life.   He went to his relative Hari.

'I cannot stop thinking about women and sex even though I wish I could,' said Nanu to Hari.   Hari had developed a more mature mind set than his friend's.    'It is because such fantasies are imprinted in your mind very strongly.   You must have had a lot of carnal pleasures in your previous births also,' was Hari's reply.   He advised his friend to channel his thoughts to nature, spirituality and higher values of life.

Nanu decided not to indulge in momentary pleasures any more and began to plant and nurture trees in the premises of his house.    But his mental agonies did not subside and sometimes he became so worried and desperate.    He sought the help of an astrologer to know if there was any way to become normal.

'You have multiple negative elements in your being.    Your ancestral temple is in dilapidated state and so you have the responsibility to renovate it.   Once that temple is brought back to its original state, you will certainly feel more peace,' said the man.

Nanu could not imagine the amount of money needed to renovate the temple.  He decided to approach the people who lived near the temple, for help.   They agreed to co-operate and within two years, the temple was renovated.    Nanu felt the presence of a divine power in all his efforts.    He could shake away his addictions and turn to God for a better mind set, a better life.   He then began to study well and took a teaching degree.

Luckily he got a job in the Philippines, the country about which he had studies much and had desired to go.   He felt that God was giving him the opportunity to explore his childhood passions.   He went there, and what a coincidence - he met a wonderful lady with whom he built a good relationship.  But once again he was confused as to whether to choose her as his mate or whether to go back to India a choose an Indian in her place.   One day he had a vision in his dream - An angel appeared and said to him.

'You are not perfectly all right.    I know what you had had in your mind when you were very young.  Not there is no need to hesitate.   Choose your mate from this foreign country and you will find all happiness.'

Nanu felt that having great desire to own a beautiful mate was not at all against God.   Now God has shown me the perfect time and opportunity.   My negative energies have gone and now I am full of positive thoughts and emotions.   I have become perfectly normal.   The misery caused by my own wrong doings in the past have disappeared with the help of God.    Now there is no need to be confused.   I am going to get what I wanted.   Thank God,  I now have no negative emotions to prevent me from getting what I wanted.

Whatever is your wish, dedicate yourself to God, and demand; you will surely get it.      The only thing to remember is that your dream object must not harm any others.

Mind's wavering stopped, Nanu married his dream girl and life came to the real, ideal path again.
