Freed ran up to Evergreen and Bickslow, tears brimming in his dark eyes. His hair was disheveled and the usual green lightening bolts that adorned his head were mere wavy tufts today. "Freed, darling, what is the matter?" Evergreens' brown eyes contorted into a worried stare from behind her glasses. Freed's whole body shuttered with sadness. Bickslow picked up his helmet to look at Freed, he too was worried for his fragile friend. "L...Laxus...He.." Was all that Freed could muster before collapsing once again. "What did he do?" Evergreen's eyes brimmed with rage. Bickslow looked confused but then had a moment of realization. "You didn't tell him did you?" Bickslow's eyes went wide and he glanced to Evergreen for backup. "What did he tell Laxus?" Evergreen looked at Bickslow confused, he sighed," Freed has a crush on him. I think Laxus might have taken it... Not too well." Freed cried louder at the mention of this event, "He... told me... I should just... leave him alone... forever." Freed broke down once again. At that moment, the door opened with a colossal slam and Laxus entered. "Where's Freed," his voice boomed around the room and all of the members in the hall looked at each other in surprise. Freed attempted to hide behind Evergreen, only for her to push him towards Laxus.
Freed whimpered in protest, eyes filling with tears again. Evergreen continued to push him along towards Laxus, until Freed was right in front of him. By now everyone in the hall had proceeded back to their own activities and were paying little attention to the boys. Evergreen walked back to Bickslow and watched like a hawk over Freed from afar. Laxus' large rouge hand met Freed's small soft face. He wiped a tear away. In an instant he turned tail and started waltzing in the other direction, "Are you coming?" Boomed Laxus, sounding a bit irritable. Freed scampered after, trying to keep up with the much larger Laxus' strides.
They made their way to the garden behind the guild hall. "I'm really sorry," Laxus looked at Freed with a small smile," I just didn't know how to... react to that." Freed looked up, the green locks falling from his face. "No, I'm sorry. I thought if I told you that you would feel the same. I knew it was a lost cause though. You can't make people feel things they don't want to." He looked a though he would break out in tears at any moment, "I just thought... Maybe... We could work." Freed's voice became hoarse and began to squeak as a small tear escaped the side of his eye. Laxus looked surprised, then a mischievous smile painted his lips, "You can't make people feel things, but you can make them show what they already feel." Laxus affectionately pulled Freed on to his lap. Freed's eyes lit up with wishful thinking as Laxus' lips neared his.
Suddenly, Laxus shot up and started running across the garden yelling, "You'll have to work for it pretty boy!" Freed smiled and ran across the garden after him, smiling a sweet contagious smile. Freed ran as fast as he could and he finally caught up to Laxus. In one fatal swoop Freed had tackled Laxus and they were a tangled mass of limbs on the grass. Freed landed on top of Laxus and blushed with a small smile on his soft lips. Laxus grinned and then pushed Freed off of him and pinned the blushing boy in the grass. "That's more like it," smiled Laxus as he neared Freed's delicate mouth.
"Wait," came Freed's voice as he put up his hands,"Do you really want to do this. You never expressed anything for me, and now this?" Laxus got off Freed and again pulled him into his lap, "Let me tell you a story. There once was a great lightening dragon. The dragon had never loved anyone and stewed in his anger and jealousy for other peoples' love. Then one day the dragon met a prince with green hair. The dragon did not like this trespasser in his layer, how dare he come here and steal my heart. Wait, the prince stole the dragons heart? The dragon be came confused and vain, he would not show his love to the prince. Everyday, the prince showed how much he loved the dragon. It became harder and harder to resist the fair prince. One day the prince came to the dragon and told him he loved the dragon. The dragon wanted to kiss the prince but he wouldn't let himself do it, not here. He yelled at the prince and made him cry. So the dragon found the prince and took him. He dried his tears, and told him that he did love the prince. The prince thought the vain dragon was lying to make him feel better, so the dragon sealed his words, with a kiss."
At that moment Laxus brought his hard electricity filled lips to Freed's delicate rose petal ones. They swirled in the wondrous kiss, never wanting it to end. Then when they broke for breath, there stood their friends, Evergreen and Bickslow. "I knew it!" Evergreen gushed, "You two are so cute!" Bickslow looked at Laxus,"Don't hurt him, okay," Bickslow gave a pervy smile to Laxus who held his love ever closer. "I just have one question," pipped in Freed for Laxus' arms,"What happened to the prince and the dragon?" Laxus smiled,"That's for us to find out."
