The Moon

If I was the moon
Soaring high and bright
You would be the sun
And beat me with your light
You push me away
Away from sight
Until my time comes
The time of night
I run so far
So far it seems
I get some peace then you find me
The stars
They stay
But they leave
In the day
But just remember
I'm just the moon
