It was way back in 1978 when John Douglas received his first letter from his wife, Carrie. She wants an annulment for unknown reasons. If Carrie wasn't in love with him anymore, he doubt that. She just disappeared without any notice.
John loves her so much. He gave everything he has, his properties, children, trust---everything. But then John received another letter from a doctor.

Dear John,
I saw your wife with a man named Carlos. They went to the hospital to check the result of pregnancy test. If there's something I could help please let me know.

It hurts him, big time. Carrie seek for another guy that's why she wants an annulment. He never thought Carrie could do this to him. She knows he has a heart problem and maybe that is the reason why she left, John thought. Maybe because she thinks I will be dead after a month if nobody would donate a heart for me. Maybe she thinks my heart transplant wouldn't be successful that's why she left to find another man, the bitch.

His pride is shattered, John is a well-known man. Everybody in their city either praises him for his good deeds or they envy his position.
It was a shame and the people might even talk about him nonstop. His reputation, his family---what might people think about him if they heard about it? That he is easily fooled for love? That would be stupid. Surely, it would be a widespread news. Anger has taken over him.

So with his authority, he sent some paid men to look for Carrie all over the country. And successfully, they brought her to John.
"John, I'm sorry," were Carrie's first words. But John couldn't be tamed. He had enough.
He made her sit on a chair and tied her arm.
"John, what are you doing? Just let me explain!" Carrie shouted. But the gun was already pointed on her temple. And he pulled the trigger as Carrie's blood spilled on the floor.

She dropped dead in an instant with her eyes still open. John just killed his wife. He took her life. Nobody knows about the incident aside from the men he paid to search for her.

He buried her at the garden behind their house.

Days later, Dr. Wan decided to visit John in their mansion.

"Hey, John." He greeted with a smile. Dr. Wan is a fat, bald guy with a beard.
"Dr. Wan. Good to see you" John greeted back with guilt.

"I'm just here to make my letter clear. Just to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea about your wife." He laughed.
What? John hesitated, "What about my wife?" he asked.

"Oh, your dear wife went to me for help. She said if you didn't get any heart donation at the end of the month, she'll donate hers. She even mentioned she's going to file an annulment just in case. And oh, the man she's with is her brother, Carlos. They checked the pregnancy test results of her sister-in-law, Carlos' wife. I hope you didn't misunderstood my letter," Dr. Wan smiled not knowing what really happened because of his letter.
