Day 3
Last night I had a 30-minute walk—or jog?—on the treadmill (we bought it on December 25). That was my longest walk on the treadmill since it was bought. Now I feel I have stronger legs, the muscle pain slowly subsiding.
Day 4
What’s new? Not much. I have stopped making New Year’s resolution. I always find myself reliving the past over and over again.
Day 5
Morning news on TV says there’s a regular class on January 4, 2006 but for government employees and those employed in private institutions or corporations, it’s a regular working day.
Day 6
Today is Tuesday. The idea of publishing the record of daily events and reflections persists. But the pen I’m using is useless. I think I’ll buy a new one.
Day 7
My son Justin has bought a ballpen this afternoon. It’s the one I’m using now and I feel a little inspired. I can’t change this stupid world but at least I can control my mood. I had better keep this ballpen all the time in my pocket. By the way, there’s no such word as ballpen in the English dictionary, only ball-point pen or ballpoint, although we’ve been using it for years in our communications anywhere in the Philippines, P.I. for short.
