Battling dragons

It was late in the evening when my guardian brother Israe-el appeared to me requesting that I and my brother Remmy we accompany him on a hunt, knowing how Israe-el is given to jokes, I queried on whether he was serious or speaking in jest, the look on his face told me that he was dead serious and indeed this was a mission of utmost importance, I immediately summoned brother Remmy and we departed towards the time gates built by a civilization long gone.
Once there Israe-el mumbled some incorrigible incantation and we stepped through the gate and in the blink of an eye we arrived in a new world. This area was full of towering mountains and ragged cliffs some which were overhanging atop each other, the area also had huge canyons full of crevices from where dark smoke billowed out, i noticed what seemed to be huge birds flying in the distance, one flew near us and i doubled back in fright as i realized we were face to face with dragons - creatures of legends which are spoken of in stories by our people.
Israe-el almost made us die of fright after he informed us that those dragons were the objects of our hunt, that we were tasked with capturing the oldest dragon which was also the biggest, he further informed us that the dragons were immortal and they could only be fought using immortal weapons, at that point he gave us each two identical buttons, then he lifted a thin whistle made of exotic gold which had a dull yellowish green rust and taking it to his lips, he blew.
A roar erupted from the deep ground below and i seemed to think the ground was moving only for moments later to be faced by a huge dragon which looked like a very ugly iguana with wings. The beast wasted no time but immediately attacked us spitting acidic fumes, with me and Remmy jumping out of the way in the just in time, grateful for those martial arts lesson we had learnt on becoming warriors.
Being versed in the special military technique of martial arts we assessed the situation and decided the only way to defeat the beast was to wear him out, we had one edge over the monster which was speed, though our quarry was able to fly, its huge size made it hard for the beast to maneuver easily, while the two of us could take cover of the towering cliffs and boulders as the fight ensued.
Meanwhile Israe-el was preparing the huge iron net which would be used to tie down the huge beast.We attacked the beast taking turns and attacking its weak points a battle which lasted for a total of eleven hours, the huge beast caved not, and we suffered many bruises but we were determined to defeat this huge dragon. Some hours to dawn we sensed fatigue in the beast and we executed the perfect martial military technique move harnessing psychic energy hitting the huge dragon squarely in its heart region, it belted out a tortured moan and crashed down with tremendous force which knocked its breath out.
Israe-el rose to his feet and threw the iron net over the beast, we then helped him fasten it down, taking out his golden whistle Israe-el once more put it into his mouth, it let out two shrill pitched tones at which a dozen immortals of Israe-el's clan materialize out of the shadows they dragged the huge dragon to a sledge and tied the dragon atop it, they then harnessed the sledge to two black horses.
Israe-el the issued a victory cry and together with his team of immortal watchers they departed at a high speed towards their home, I was left with Remmy to find the gate back home eventually we found it and crossed back to our realm earth.
Appearing puzzled Remmy asked me, " was that real or a simulation." I looked at him squarely in the face and answered,"i don't know, it could be either real or one of the training simulations."
"But should those huge lizards ever attack our village we shall be ready."
