Under The Rain

On the street, a hard rain is falling down. Nobody has time to stop, as everybody wants to go back home as soon as posible. But a couple is walking slowly, enjoying every second of the rainfall. Love makes them forget for a while about the bad weather.
Under his umbrella, she walks down the street. A warm embrace protects the young woman from the cold wind that makes the skin crawl. Even when it looks like a dream, the situation is real. After a long wait, there´s finally somebody by her side; there will be no more cold nights spent in bitter solitude.
“Are you feeling ok, dear? You can tell me if something is wrong”, the young man said after noticing his girlfriend was trembling like a flower.
“Nothing is wrong. I am just happy to have you by my side” she smiled softly.
Both kept walking on the wet streets that looked almost empty. There was no need for words. They could only ruin such a perfect moment.
Maybe it was raining, but her heart felt suddenly lighter. She wasn´t afraid of storms anymore. Her heart is now filled with light. Maybe, in the end, the wounds are going heal.
