Dan stood up in agitation as he could not bear anymore. He was rattled by the fact that he was going to be punished by the teacher for the information about him which was disseminated in the school although untrue. There was no dossier on him yet the teacher did not want to believe his side of the story. This blame on him was rather absurd. In school, he was very gregarious and friendly, maybe that quality in him was envied by most of the students who wanted to take revenge and started this rumor. He was an avid student who always scored the highest without any help which indicated that there was something amiss about the rumor which was spread. Dan and the students, who started the rumor, stood in front of the principal. The students corroborated the rumor which led to an altercation between them and Dan. Finally, the matter was resolved as Dan confessed that he was the one who used to vandalize the school walls; he was arrested later that day.
