THREE GREEDY MEN

by lizjay
There were once three men who lived together in a small shack, paying a little amount of P300 per month as their monthly rent. Life was not easy as every day they had to wake up early in the morning to hustle for jobs in order to buy clothes and food. Even though life seemed to be so difficult for them, they were very cheerful men, having a peace of mind and the way they dress was as smart as an owl. No one knew exactly where these men stay, especially their close friends because they used to wake up early when it’s still dawn to go and look for piece jobs. They lived a hidden life.

The Bible clearly highlights that after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, both of them received a punishment. For Adam, God said, ‘By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food, until you return to the ground’. This is exactly what was happening to these three men; Go, Killer and Clever as they were affectionately known in their community. They were living by the sweat of their brow, and the vow they made that each one of them should return home with P1000 in his hand was going well as none of them broke this vow. One may wonder, ‘why were these men staying in a shack, paying three hundred a month, while they can make thousands in a day?’ The answer to this question is in the title. They were very greed that for them to pop out money and give to someone else was a difficult task. So paying three hundred was not a big deal that’s why they decided to push life by just staying in a shack.

One certain day, everything was so dry that the business did not go well. They were frustrated, depressed and downcast because of the situation. Then all of a sudden, Clever came up with an idea. ‘You know what guys; I have a very big plan going on in my mind, what if we go to that bank and take everything, I have a sharp tool we can use’. They all jumped up as they agreed to the motion. The situation seemed to be severe that they ended up plotting evil, forgetting about the consequences.Indeed their plan went well. They managed to get a lump sum of money in FNB ATM and disappeared. No one saw them, and the police investigations were still on-going to find out the culprits.

The love of money is the root of all evil. All these men were greedy, and each one of them as they were hiding in the bush trying to divide the money, had a thought in his mind. They were very hungry and as a result sent Go to buy food in the nearby store. As he was walking alone to the store, he thought of a plan on how he can finish with Clever and Killer so that he can enjoy the money all by himself. After buying the food, he poisoned them.

Remember that all these men were evil, and of course everyone had an evil thought jumping in his mind. While Go was still away, both Clever and Killer plotted to kill Go as soon as he arrive. When Go arrived they finished with him, and put the food aside. It was only the two of them now. Then Killer stood up to take the food, as soon as he bent to lift the food, Clever finished with him using a big wood, just by the neck and he broke it. He was now alone, beating his chest he said ‘I am the boss, and this cash is mine’. Oh my God! He thought he made it but listen here to what happened to him. A greedy person is never satisfied and will never be. Instead of taking the money and go, he looked at the food and his mouth began to water. He sat down and ate everything. Within 5 seconds, his stomach was telling him that there is something going on. Darkness overwhelmed him and he collapsed.

Fortunately there was a traditional doctor who was moving around looking for some herbs. He saw the guy motionless, eyes wide open and blood coming out through his nose and ears. Slowly and slowly he tried to explain to the old man (traditional doctor) what happened. He quickly called the police and when they arrived at the scene, the man breathed his last. The man told the police everything, and they in turn told him that they have been looking for these guys because they stole money from the bank. They thanked the traditional doctor so much for alerting them though it was already too late. They took the corpse to the hospital and the money was returned back to the bank. That was the end of Go, Clever and Killer. Their greediness did not help them.

June 23, 2015 - 18:25 This is very serious, the love of money is the root of all evil, and greedy itself is a disease of the soul.Poor guys!

June 23, 2015 - 21:22 God! it is like all the STORIES on the net are unavailable and some ppl can only find Arabic stories to translate and put in some ideas of their own...... Not being rude here but there was this guy here on typotic who wrote the same story as you but ofcourse he placed in someof his own ideas. But hey, the original is still out there and we should respect it so even though I am pretty sure you have read the original one...you should not have just added your own ideas just to make the original look different. :) And btw, that guy's account was removed......

June 24, 2015 - 13:00 It does indeed have almost the same plot as the other one. But this does not look like a copy of it, the other one did. :)
