Everything was super

I met him in church

I never knew that day will be so special to me

He was very attractive

Not with his physical beauty only

But with his character, simple and welcoming

I suffered rejection, despised

Just because I have nobody

But I trusted in the power of God

That He will provide

He is not a man who can lie

I never gave up but kept on investing

He heard my cry and provided.

My cry turned into laughter

Shame into honour and respect

Every girl desired what I have

It wasn’t just a male figure

But a man of God, an intelli-man

A man who is as wise as King Solomon

A man who fears God above all.

When the pastor announced that I would be getting married

I felt a cold shiver in my bones

I thought I will collapse

But that was a lie

I felt tears streamlining down my cheeks

It was tears of joy.
