Edmund have lost everything. He’s fired from the company he is working as a graphic artist. He has no money left, he has nowhere to go. His friends left or abandoned him. His girlfriend for 3 years left him to go with another man. He doesn’t have anyone with him. He decided to take his own life. Alone on his apartment, he started to hang himself, when suddenly, a great wind envelop his own room. Edmund is shock, when some entity appeared in front of him. It is the devil.

“Don’t do it Edmund” the devil said to him.

Edmund is scared at the moment. But he tried to have courage to face with this supernatural entity that is in front of him.

“You can take your own life with despair and sadness, or you can be somebody, if you’re willing to let me help you” the devil said with a teasing smile.

“Go away from me, you devil. I don’t want you or anybody. Nobody cares about me anymore. Leave me alone” Edmund shouts to the devil.

“It is up to you, my friend. But I know you need help. Now, my friend, get down from that rope and let us talk” the devil pleads.

Edmund has second thoughts if he will follow the devil’s instruction.

“You forgotten my friend, you are always looking for me. Remember, you once summoned me. You called me how many times because you want to have everything and to be somebody.”

Edmund suddenly flashback on his mind what the devil said to him. He was jealous before of his friends or colleagues who have things that he only envied. An insecure and introvert person, Edmund seems always left behind in everything, like cars, gadget, and beautiful girlfriend. Edmund is a kind of person who is not excellent in all area. Worse, he is not enjoying his life. Most of the time, he always pleads for death to come to him.

“My friend, this is now your chance your prayers will be answer. Go down now and let me help you.”

Edmund finally follows the devil. He sit on his bed and listens to the devil

“I will make you prosperous. Everything and anything you want, I will give to you”

At what the devil said, Edmund has a silent smile on his face.

“I will give you powers to get what you want and need. I know my friend you have suffered enough. I believe your life is full of setbacks. Now here is what you are going to do for exchange for your powers”.

The devil’s facial expression becomes serious, but scary.

“Kill all the people who have wronged you. Finish them and you give me their souls. The more you kill, the more your powers become stronger. Is that a great deal to you my friend?”

Edmund is terrified of the devil’s condition.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t do that, you want me to be a murderer?” Edmund shouts to the devil.

“Edmund my friend, just imagine. You can have more powers by following what I said.” The devil said to Edmund teasingly.

Maybe the devil is right, Edmund said to himself. He gives in what the devil said to him.

The first person that Edmund plans to kill is the manager of his current company who fired him. Of course, he does this secretly. Day by day, he killed many persons who have wronged him, his former friends especially. The devil is happy with Edmund. He makes Edmund more powerful and successful in his endeavors. He becomes one of the richest men in the world. Edmund is only in awe of what is happening in his life that before he only dreams of.

One day, Rachel, his former girlfriend, comeback into his life. Rachel wants to reconcile with Edmund. But of course, Edmund is not naïve. He consults the devil again if he accepts Rachel.

“He only wants you because of your money, you better kill her also my friend” the devil said to Edmund.

Will Edmund follow what the devil said, even if he still loves Rachel? One night, the two of them made love in a certain motel. While they making love, Rachel asks Edmund what are his secrets, why did he suddenly became rich. Edmund confesses to Rachel everything. But Robert doesn’t know that Rachel records his every word in her android phone. Before Edmund and Rachel know it, the police officers arrive in their doorstep.

“Rachel, what is the meaning of this” Edmund asks Rachel in panic about the arrival of the police officers.

“I’m sorry Edmund, but I know you have killed many people, including Charles. One of your friends and the one I truly love. You deserve to go to jail Edmund.” Rachel said to Edmund while siding with the police officers.

“I thought you love me Rachel” Edmund suddenly have a hidden gun in his body, shoots Rachel and all the police officers. But another officer grabs immediately his gun and shoots him in the heart. All are dead within that night.

“Welcome my friend” the devil welcomes Edmund in hell.

Edmund can only cry and grief why he is in that place. The consequence of his pack with the devil.
