Painless Death

Those grey eyes seem to be filled with pain
As things are moving painfully slowly
He had been able to get out of the cage
But up till now still tied up on the end of his leg
The old relationship that he had painfully broken off.
As his heart brimmed over with love and adoration
I looked at him imploringly, I wasn’t able to speak
My eyes are brimming with tears
For he wishes for a quick and painless death.
