Off kilter

The sun’s just a little too bright,
The song’s playing a bit off- key;
The day simply doesn’t feel right,
The mind is not where it should be.

Everybody’s a bit too loud –
Too many talking all at once;
Noisy tantrums all in my head,
Nothing around makes any sense.

Gravity seems a bit stronger,
Time gets stuck in a big black hole;
Nights are long, and days are longer,
And darkness wraps around the soul.
