Never look back

by Valis
When the evening spreads its charcoal smudged wings and you sing in operatic kiss
There's no mistake as to why I crave and cherish the budge of every moment
Within your gaze
Playing hide and seek in your dreams and looking toward our every days
We are the seeds that love nurtured in the months of cold
The undercover lovers planting roots and watching our futures unfolding
When lips are ignited and flames fan tongue for breath
Your voice holds me captive born, your hips my walking sedative
Your skin the caress that my fingers sink in tune
Your body the home I wish to move my waist into
And settle into your soul
Roll my hands through silken tangle
Dangling the strings of my heartbeat like a harp you strum in harmony
And waiting for the blood flow to catch up in my arteries
I get light headed by your touch
The sensation of oneness like lightning against my thunder
And as it rains we melt into each other
And dance and jump in the sidewalk puddles
Muddle our bodies in earths makeup
Our beds made by grassfed blades as our cores shake ready to erupt
For I've paid my dues in love, been through too much and more than enough
And you are the one that caught me stumbling
And stood me straight up
Had faith when I thought all was lost
And took me into your arms all parts intact
And I fell into your heart with no guard up
And never
Looked
Back
