just time, erasing names,

bringing flowers to die

and Beauty to cry in despair.

Just time, my dear, just time,

defying my feelings with a smile

and losing the game pitifully,

strengthening my love for you,

against the odds of fate,

the caprice of the hours

and the elusive smile of Life.
