"Your time starts now."
Click! Then everything went black then suddenly millions of images, of scenes spins around her in fast and endless motion like a colored film strip in a big movie theatre.
Click! The spinning abruptly stops which left her dazed and groggy.
"Lila! I thought you already left for school! It's already 8 in the morning."
"Dad?" she asks still feeling dazed and still unable to collect her thoughts. Why is he still here? Alive and beathing..."but you're already dead?" she said thinking aloud before she could gather her thoughts and take back what she said.
"Dead?" he ask a note of amusement in his voice " have you been hallucinating again?"
"Your time starts now...remember, you only have minutes to spare. When the timer rings you would be transported again to another past event in your life.. remember...15 minutes is all you have."
Then suddenly she remember it all. She was given oppurtunity to experience the automatic wristwatch transporter which would take her in and out of her past. But her time is limited because there are many people who is also waiting in line to use the newest device Mr. Stewart had recently invented. And she is here now with her dad because she ask the operator to take her a few years back where and when she had last seen her dad, weeks before he died because she never got the chance to say sorry to him and tell him she love him for the last time.
"Lila, are you listening? Or are you playing deaf again?" his tone is now mildly irritated. She always do that to him because she don't want to be reprimanded.
"Dad, listen..I'm sorry," she began fearing it would be just a minute away. She had no time to spare. Every seconds counts.
"Good..at least you're listening. Now pick up your things..your bus will be here soon."
"It's not that Dad.." she says frantic now.
"Lila? What's wrong?" concern now creeps into his forehead. "are you ill?maybe I should call the doctor-"
"No! Dad I'm fine..." she says almost abruptly causing her dad to stop on the way to the telephone. "Dad I-"
Buzzzz... the doorbell ring to her great anxiety now....whoever rings the doorbell made the timing perfectly she wanted to scream.
Tick..tock...the wallclock reminded her of the time..the time...it's running now.
The watch now blinks its digital numbers on and off...1 minute left. Oh! time flies so fast much to her anxiety.
Her dad walks toward the door to know who's outside. Running out of time now and out last chance she cross the distance that separates them. She run towards her dad and hugs him tightly, never wanting to let go. He hugs him back slightly puzzled.
"Lila, honey what's wrong?"
5. 4. 3. 2...
"I love you dad!" was all she could utter tears streaming endlessly now down her cheeks.
"I love you too honey."
Click. The time is over and everything went black again.
