Returning back to the mansion my mother was waiting for me in the hall. “Mother, I have returned home. Please forgive me for been late” I told her. Looking at me I saw the anger in her face. After couple of seconds in silence she came over and hugged me as usual with all her love, I felt her warmth and love and I definitely could say she was worried for me. “Darling now go get ready we have a banquet tonight you will be representing your father” said my mother. Without saying another word I went to my room. As I entered everything was already prepared by the maids assigned to me. “Welcome home young madam, we have everything ready for you” said Sheema. She was the maid assigned to look after me since I was born.
Entering the banquet hall I was appalled, all I saw was all the gentlemen discussing business affairs and all the rich ladies trying exceed each another with their stories, while all the children gambling with their parents money and all the youths flirting with each other. Keeping my composure I walked in with pride greeting all everyone like my father. Everyone in this hall knew I was attending a normal public high school, but according to my father it was mentioned as looking in to the horizons of public schools and understanding their ways of teaching for my experience as the next heir to the Alliance Academy. Wandering around the hall I heard someone calling my name as I looked back I just couldn’t find who it was. Just my imagination I thought in my head but as I turned back again I saw a figure walking away, unconsciously I followed the figure to end up losing my way. Returning to reality I was lost in the hallway, everywhere I looked there were only endless corridors. I felt so scared, I tried retracing my steps but I failed continuously. Finally, I was exhausted with this façade that I collapsed to the ground.
Waking up I was back in my room with my mom sleeping next to me. Sitting up I noticed the mascara stains on her pillow, she has cried all this time for me, and she must have been terrified I thought in my head. “I am sorry mommy, how did you find me?” I cried stroking her head. Waking up suddenly she hugged me and started crying “Where have you been? What happened to you? Who brought you back to me? Why did you faint in the middle of nowhere?” she questioned me on and on though I had no reply to give her as I did not even know what happened to me. “Mom, how did I return home? Who brought me back to my house?” I asked in return. My mom looked at me with a puzzled expression. We just gazed in to each other’s eyes without saying a word. There was definitely something that cannot be explained between our stories.
Next day sitting at my desk in the classroom I gazed at the flower petals been blown away by the wind. Looking at the baseball field I saw George playing, along with him my mind flew out the window. “Miki...Miki…are you day dreaming about George again?” whispered Sarah in my ear. I looked at her startled and she started giggling. “You know me so well Sarah” I told her. “Good morning Miki baby…so…so…tell us what happened with Professor Nathan yesterday” asked Gabriel entering the classroom following him was Erika. My face turned pale as I forgot all about what happened yesterday.
Recollecting my memories “He didn’t blow up for the first time he was kind to me and tried to teach me yesterdays’ lesson when I had to leave cause my mother called me” I told them. “No…no…no… that cannot happen in a million years Miki, did he totally brainwash you that you won’t remember a thing today?” asked Erika. “Did you know Professor Nathan isn’t really mean, he was very gentle and kind to me yesterday” I told them, but they refused to believe. Gazing at the baseball field again I was drowned in my memories all over again “Hmm…It’s the baseball field again isn’t it Miki at this rate you will fail my class” suddenly said a voice behind my back. A chill ran down my spine as I notice who that voice belonged too. Bolting upright from my seat I was standing face to face with Professor Nathan. I turned deep red and without saying a word I ran out of the classroom. Not knowing what to do I wandered in to the infirmary, knocking on the door there was no reply from inside. Slowly opening the door I looked inside but there was nobody. I slowly crawled in to one of the beds and stared at the plain ceiling above me. Without realizing I have fallen asleep in the infirmary, waking up I realized I wasn’t alone and the time has flown. It was already 3p.m School is almost over. Stumbling out of bed I tripped, trying to balance myself I clung on to the curtain separating the infirmary beds but unfortunately I still slipped and fell opening the curtain. Gathering myself I stood up to find George having a nap on the next bed. “Am I this lucky?” I mumbled to myself. I stood their staring at him, my heart raced like I was running in a marathon. Slowly I reached out to his forehead to wipe away the hair locks on his forehead when I was grabbed by him “Sarah, I love you, please stay with me” he whispered in my ear. I pulled back suddenly awakening him. Looking at me he freaked out all together freaking me out as well. “Who are you, why did you come here?” questioned George. He looked angry and scary for the first time. Where is my sweet George? the one who sparkled more than anyone? who is this? I cried inside my head, “Are you spying on me” he asked again. I was petrified I couldn’t move or speak. He was losing his patience so he grabbed me and pinned me on the bed. I was unable to move. “So start talking or things will get even worse” he threatened me as I tried to break-free from his tightened grip....
