I collect stars
And keep them safe in my heart
A place them the deepest into your eyes that I can see
Breaking down constellations and packing up maps of hemispheres
Because the world turns in your gaze
At a time when the universe was separated
You laid hatch to the eggs that fertilized generations
All in a day's work you say
When the sun lays down for a warm winters nap
And the moon is playing hide and go seek me out
That is when I will wish I may see
How the sparkle of a carnival of night lights
Break loose from your pupils and breed
Against the black out velvet curtains
When after hours are beginning to flourish
When streetlamps stand shy
As you come walking by
Afraid to dim anything you are willing to emit
And project upon anxiously watched skies
We are the fire that society watches breathe
Keeping warm and sharing stories and admiring the scenery
We feed on each other
Consuming kiss and infiltrating lips until fingertips have had their fill of skin
And we rest chin to chin
Glowing like wishing well pennies
Piles of heads and tails all spread eagle with heightened nerve endings
I can feel you inside of me when I'm inside of you
Our bones grinding in all the right motions
In hopes of finding a fuse
And lighting it
And when it's ignited stand back and watch it go
Your eyes roll closed in a supernovae moment
And your body explodes
Shooting stars across galaxies
To the farthest reaches of black mass and gravitational attraction of vaper facets
To orbital waves where they take a break for an overnight stay
Back to the horizon while it bends over for us to see
The stars I collect nightly and put deep within thee
So before dark I can go and gather tomorrow's quota
And watch you send them home every night when your eyes open
