A poem for all the mother's out there who tries to hide their emotions.
“Hide No More, Mom”
By: D.M. Amorin
My
mom loves me,
She
works hard for me,
Far
away always she went to work abroad,
It
hurts to see her ride away and disappear on the road.
But
I love my mom, she loves me so much too.
Earning
money is hard here in our country, yes it’s true.
She
never forgets my birthday and she never forget her gifts.
As
my appreciation and love for her, I am studying well and get high rates.
What
I like the most about her is that, she’s afraid but not.
She
wanted to give up, but not.
She
is strong and capable of everything.
She’s
not showing any weakness or anything.
But….
My mom lied.
She
pretends to be happy, even though she was crying every night.
She
lied about being okay, when she had trouble working herself too much.
She
pretends to enjoy, but the truth is she wants to come back home.
She
lied about being energetic and full of life, she’s weak and not so strong as
she seemed to be.
But
I love my mom, I like it when I know she’s vulnerable.
It
gives me chance to be her child for her.
I
don’t need a strong mother that seemed indestructible,
How
then will a child be able to open things up to her?
Hide
yourself no more mom,
I am
your child, you can’t lie to me.
It’s
alright, nothing to ashamed,
In
this world we are one… you and me.
"Mama! Mama!! Oh look what I found". "What is it? Honey?" Said Fausha. "I dont know mama, but its kind of weird". Said the boy curiously. "It has a red color on it" he continued. Fausha looked into that insect, it was covered with fresh red in...
My wind has come and my time comes to end,
It came to fetch me and heave me at last.
Oh! Come, wind of death and May you intend?...
