Going to nowhere on earth
Heavy-headed, an irony to what her heart weighs.
Desperately trying
Emotions are banked and at bay
Tears course unbidden and unwelcome down the cheeks
Wipe them hurriedly with her fingers
No need for a linen of handkerchief
She thought that pain is everywhere
Seeping into the marrow of her bones
Surrenders herself into grief.
