Friends...Forever? (Part 7)

Martina and Laura weren't those little girls that together, dreaming about a word filled with princesses. University was filled with tons of responsibilities and so little sleep. It was amazing to see, how two little girls who used to act just like twins, took two very different paths. Laura decided that science was the right field for her, so she majored in Biology. Martina chose to paint her life with the colors of art. As the girls wanted to when they were teens, they were able to meet in the summer on a rock festival. They really enjoyed talking to each other... But this little time spent together made them realize how much they have changed. The mind of Laura now was filled with pure wonder about the living beings, while Martina´s was focused in sharing beauty with the world. It felt almost if they were from different planets. The only thing they bound about was music and laughing at some faint childhood memories. "
So, it was nice meeting again, uh, Martina?", said Laura, before bidding farewell to her old friend
"Yes... I guess so. Maybe I could meet anytime soon? "
"I hope so"
But honestly, none of them were sure of meeting again anytime soon. And they were right. It would take a long time for life to make them meet again.
