She felt exhausted and thirsty and she felt like she was going to faint but because the angel was holding her, she could not feel any threat. She was smiling and her heart was now at easy. She had found the doctor of her heart but what troubled her most was if that doctor felt the same way about her. She was fantasizing again. It felt like a dream.
“Cheyenne.” The sweet, sexy and muscular voice called her name.
“What? I mean ...I don’t know what happened...” she felt stuck.
“You could have died Cheyenne. Do not do that again. I am still frightened. If there is anything troubling your mind, you know you can count on me. I’m always there for you.” Palma said.
“I’m sorry but there is nothing...”
“Don’t lie to me Cheyenne.” Palma interrupted. Cheyenne wasn’t sure if she wanted to tell him the truth. She felt naive, vulnerable and fragile. The feelings were now mixed inside her heart. Sorrow, happiness, love, hatred... all of them inside her heart. She removed Palma’s hands from her back and stood on her own.
“I am a bit confused right now.” Cheyenne said tiredly.
“Maybe we can find somewhere to sit. Or you can come with me to my crib. You have to put your mind at rest. If it’s okay with you.” Palma shrugged.
“We better find somewhere to sit.” Chey volunteered. “I don’t wanna go to your house.”
“Really?” Cheyenne nodded. “If you say so but I’m not a scary person though.”
“I didn’t say that, Palma.”
“Maybe. But you said you don’t wanna come to my house. Why?” Palma asked.
“I’m not used to it. Actually, I...”
“I thought we are friends, we are not strangers Cheyenne. We talk at college a lot. We really know each other.”
“I’m sorry but I think you can understand.”
“Okay Cheyenne. Personally, I cannot force a lady to come with me to my house.” Palma said.
“I’ll come some other time.” Chey said smiling.
“Like tomorrow?” Palma asked smiling back at her.
“Oh God! I really think you have gone crazy. I meant to say during the weekend when I’ll be free.”
“Okay. I’ll be waiting for you or I can come to your house tomorrow.”
“No! Don’t! My aunt doesn’t like visitors like you...” Cheyenne suddenly burst out.
“Like me? As in what?” Palma was confused.
“She said no boys at my age...”
“Really?” Palma laughed surprised. “But you are grown up Cheyenne.”
“I don’t think she know that.” She looked at Palma who continued starring at her too. His eyes were hazel brown like chocolate and Cheyenne’s heart melted at the way he was looking at her. Palma continued gazing at her straight in her eyes that Cheyenne became shy and looked away.
“Cheyenne?” Palma said with a low sensual voice.
“Mm...”
“I was thinking....” he said and paused.
“About???” Cheyenne asked.
“It’s been long Cheyenne, since last year we have been true friends and I’m beginning to discover new things. I think of you many times feeling strangely lonely. I just feel like we are connected somehow.” Chey looked at him not sure of what he was saying. “Today I wanted to see you badly then like a miracle it just happened.” Palma said looking seriously at Cheyenne.
“So you mean? I’m trying to get what you are saying.”
“I mean...” his phone started ringing. “Um sorry. Just give me a minute.”
“Cool.” Chey said and Palma answered his call.
“Who was it?” Chey asked.
“It was my sister, Chanice.” He said laughing. “Anyway tell me what happened?”
“My mother Elsie is sick and I think dying at the same time. I once told you about her if you remember quite well.”
“Yes. I remember and I’m sorry. What is her problem?” Palma asked.
“Heart problems and I think she got cancer too. I don’t know what to do Palma. I have to go and see her but my aunt is unwilling.”
“Why? Cheyenne, she is your mother. You have to go and see her. I’ll come with you.”
“My aunt said I’m not going anywhere.”
“So what are you going to do?” Palma asked.
“Maybe write a letter. What else can I do besides that?” Cheyenne felt tears coming to her eyes. Suddenly tears started flowing down her cheeks. She couldn’t hold them anymore. The pain and emotions which filled her were aggressive.
“Please Cheyenne, stop crying.” Palma said holding her around the shoulders. “Trust me, it’s going to be alright.” He assured her.
“I’m sorry Palma. I didn’t mean to cry. I just... I just...”
“No, it’s okay. I can feel your pain. Please just lean on me. You can cry on my shoulder. Come here.”
Palma pulled Cheyenne and sat on a nearby bench. He then hugged her and Cheyenne put her head on his firm and strong muscular chest. Palma wiped away her tears using his finger thumbs. This was the good side of him as a man but he didn’t know what the person he was holding felt for him. Feeling his heartbeat and the warmth of his body, his hands around her, Cheyenne felt safe and secure as she snuggled closer to him like a contented kitten. She loved him. Oh God. If only he knew. He seemed interested in her but she was more than interested. She needed him, loved him, wanted him crazily that very moment.

As Katessia kept on walking along the roads, she felt like she was going to burst out with exhaustion. What was wrong with the Huggins family? She didn’t know. Suddenly her phone started ringing. She picked it up and the caller was Mr Huggins.
“Hello Uncle.”
“I told you not to call me ‘uncle’. What’s wrong with you darling?”
“I’m sorry hun. Where are you?” Katessia asked.
“I’m just by the Canyon grand hotel. I believe Rose is not at home. I want you here like now.” Jake said.
“What for?” Katessia asked with surprise.
“I just miss you sweetheart and I need you here...this very moment. Can you come?”
“Okay hun. I’m coming. Expect me in ten minutes.”
“That’s my girl!” Jake exclaimed. “You see, that’s why I love you more than Rose.”
“Even though, she is still your wife. I do earn respect for her.”
“What ever! You are the main chick right now.” Jake said, his voice lacking concern of his wife, Rose.
“Stop kidding.” Katessia said laughing.
“Okay babe. Please come. I’m waiting for you.”
“Okay.” Katessia said and the phone clicked as she sighed heavily. She knew she was miss gold. Earning everything she wanted, going out with her boss, enjoying lunch, and dinner out with him. Rose was a fool for sure. She couldn’t even discover the simplest secret and how her husband acted. How Katessia presented herself in front of him. She was really blinded and when she was going to discover it, the truth is she was going to die of a heart attack.
