April Rain

by Summer
Hundreds of stones were resting below her tiny feet
They're sending pain all over her small body
But she never really cared, not a little
As long as she could stood high up on the rooftop

*

Zooming raindrops sounded like bombs landing on her head
They're spilling ice all over her perfectly shaped skull
But she couldn't feel anything except cold
Cold that was starting to grow inside her chest

*

Below her, on an open street, a parade was slowly moving
All of them dressed in either black or white clothes
They're a wide chessboard in her eyes
She's a lonely player in their eyes

*

At last, after an hour or so of standing still
She moved her feet down the empty house
She ran through the crowd of legs and umbrellas
And finally joining her mother's silent funeral procession
Let others and the author know if you liked it

Liked it alot?
